What does ‘interactive online’ mean?

In courses delivered in virtual format we explicitly focus on a high percentage of interactive teaching and learning to allow for an optimum transfer effectiveness. We design our interactive online courses in alignment with the latest standards in the field of online adult education and as similar as possible to in-classroom trainings. As a result, we can guarantee also in online mode the high quality of the learning experience our company is famous for.

Online Learning Platform

We use an online learning platform for the delivery of pre- and post-course materials including some reading, exercises, quizzes, checklists, educational videos, the course documentation itself and recommended self-study materials.

To prepare for the certification exam, participants are granted access to an online self-assessment to test their respective knowledge in a simulated multiple-choice testing environment before the actual examination.

Course Delivery

The course itself will be delivered via a Zoom video call (or an equivalent tool in accordance with the client requirements in the case of in-house courses). Access to the link and login details for the video call will be available on the learning platform once the participant has given their consent to the processing of the personal data.

The contents of the course are delivered live in a multi-channel way, with the aid of collaborative online tools for teams (break-out rooms, virtual whiteboards / flip charts, voting tools, group chat etc.). The course includes group discussions, didactic videos, simulations, reflections, active Q&A sessions etc. During the course, the participants repeatedly work in teams on various projects and exercises to experience the various topics of the course. Participants are also invited to bring their own topics in the class: our trainers will integrate them as much as possible in the learning path of the course.

For the certification, the participants’ active course participation is mandatory. We strongly encourage everyone to keep their cameras turned on to allow for more team interaction.

The course is split in various modules, non of which exceeds two hours, with short breaks as needed and sufficiently long breaks between the sessions. The actual times for breaks are agreed upon in the group at the beginning of the course.

Just like in the classroom, the number of participants is generally limited to 16 to guarantee an optimum learning environment even in an online setting. For advanced courses, we even recommend a group size of 12 to allow for more direct interaction.

Additional Advantages

  • The interactive online format offers a greater didactic flexibility to the trainer so the course can be adapted more easily even on-the-spot to the needs and requirements of the group.
  • In addition to the regular course contents as described in the respective learning objectives, the interactive on-line course format offers to the participants a live experience of how online tools can be used in the context of agile practices, accompanied by respective didactic explanations by the trainer.
  • If needed, the group will be provided with additional videomaterial, especially created for the individual group and / or a two-hour online follow-up session to deepen their knowledge.
