Adaptive Product Management

Adaptive Product Management

Adaptive Product Management means discovering what customers really want through fast experiments. We see organisations waste months building features nobody needs. The solution is simple and elegant - though not easy to implement: test small ideas quickly, learn from real customers, and change direction before spending too much. Instead of building “the right product” - which is an unknown - we should build a product incrementally, verifying our assumptions as quickly as possible.

This isn’t about hiring better Product Managers. It’s about creating synergy between people who decide direction - Management, Product Owners, and the Developers who build things. When these people work together, the whole cycle can be sped up: from assumption to development to market to measuring what actually works with customers.

The economics make sense: a two-week prototype costs much less than six months of development. When experiments become cheaper and faster, you can try more ideas and keep developing what really works.

An Adaptive Product Management system in an organisation involves several aspects

The ability to conceive products (or services) in incremental slices

  • how we describe assumptions and requirements
  • how we can develop an actual product strategy that evolves through increments

The competence to create an actual collaboration among all people involved in product development

Competence in using modern product management tools

How we organise ourselves in otder to validate assumptions fast

The competence to measuring what mattersin order to understand how clients really react

We help organisations through this journey using our experience in creating adaptive organisation using methods coming from agility, lean, design thinking, leans startup etc. to creat the the mix your organisation need.
