SoCraTes is an international non-profit and community-run (un)conference about all things related to Software Craft.

The main language of the event (facilitation, group activities) will be English. Sessions can be in German if everybody in the audience of the session understands German or if you announce the session as “German session”.

SoCraTes Austria in Linz is a two-day open space conference. We want to bring software developers, testers, architects, designers and other people involved with software development together. We want to learn from each other and share our knowledge.

We are creating a safe environment at an accessible venue for a diverse group of people who want to share their knowledge and learn together. Please make sure to read our code of conduct before buying a ticket: https://socrates-conference.at/code-of-conduct/

The whole conference is entirely created by its participants – hands-on coding sessions, sessions focused on discussion, interactive talks, and more. We are looking forward to some interesting, fun and definitely unconventional two days with you!

SoCraTes in a nutshell

SoCraTes Austria 2025 is a two-day event.
We will have an open space conference about software crafting and testing.
We will start in the morning with the „market place“ and then continue the day with the open space.

  • coffee.

The open space conference is entirely created by the participants with a facilitators who will guide through the day.
